Vitamin D is something that you will hear every health care professional say we all need more of (Especially those of us that live in Midwestern or northern states). In the cold months especially, it can be hard to get outside for natural sunlight and Vitamin D intake.
So why is Vitamin D so important??
Vitamin D plays an important role in immune function, disease prevention (like cancer), bone health, inflammation issues and more. When we give our body what it needs to help our bodies run at 100%, we are able to keep ourselves healthy and the others around us.
What are signs of deficiency? 1. Chronic Fatigue 2. Weakened Immune System 3. Anxiety 4. Trouble Sleeping 5. Swelling 6. Inflammation 7. Depression *Just to name a few
Where can we get Vitamin D? 1. Sunshine! Get outside as much as possible! 2. High Quality Supplements (We currently are using Innate choice) Make sure you are looking for D3 rather than Vitamin D2. Also look out for fillers, additives and preservatives 3. Eating your Vitamin D- Eggs, Mushrooms or Fatty Fish
Having Vitamin D allows your body to be even stronger to help fight off sickness, which is just a bonus for what is happening in the world
